CAMDL Executive Director speaks to AME Zion University Students on how to spot fake news

Taweh Johnson, Executive Director of Campaigners Against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia, today spoke to over 20 students of the AME Zion University in Monrovia on how to spot fake news. Students learned ways to spot fake news in order to prevent the spread of misinformation and disinformation in Liberia, particularly during the electoral period.

This is part of Dubawa Week for Truth Initiative in Liberia. Dubawa is a West African independent verification and fact-checking project, initiated by the Centre for Journalism, Innovation, and Development (CJID) and supported by the most influential newsrooms and civic organizations in West Africa to help amplify the culture of truth in public discourse, public policy, and journalistic practice. It has a presence in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia.
