CAMDL participates in World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026 in Kakata, Margibi County.

CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson , had the honor of serving as Master of Ceremony at the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons event organized by the Government of Liberia’s Ministry of Labour, with support from partners, at the Administrative Building in Kakata, Margibi County.

This year’s global theme, “Trapped Behind the Scam,” highlights how false information and deception fuel human trafficking.

The event brought together senior government officials, U.S. Embassy representatives, civil society organizations, and community members to strengthen awareness and collaboration.

As a member of Liberia’s Trafficking in Persons Taskforce, Campaigners against misinfo & disinfo in Liberia remains committed to combating false information and supporting efforts to end human trafficking.

The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is an international observance held every year on July 30 to raise awareness about human trafficking and protect the rights of survivors.
