Last week we celebrated the International Week of the Deaf.
The theme for this year, “No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights,” emphasizes that accessibility isn’t a luxury. It’s a fundamental right.”
CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, stated that CAMDL has been empowering the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Liberia on how to verify information using digital tools because people with disabilities are extremely vulnerable to false information. Besides, Taweh Johnson stated that CAMDL will always support the Deaf community.
We encourage all Liberians to learn the Liberian Sign Language . At CAMDL, we support inclusivity. We are grateful to the National Commission on Disabilities in Liberia for the invitation.
