The Executive Director of Campaigners against misinfo and disinfo in Liberia, Taweh Johnson led the team of the Liberia Fact-checking Network to OK FM for the second time. The team spoke about the Launch of the Network this Friday, June 30, 2023 at Internews in Liberia Office on 19th Street commencing at 1pm. The Executive Director of Campaigners against misinfo and disinfo in Liberia, Taweh Johnson serves as Head of Secretariat and The Official Spokesperson of the Liberia Fact-checking Network. The network is holding politicians and their followers, journalists, influencers and citizens accountable to the facts during and after the October polls. This is intended to prevent the spread of misinformation and disinformation in Liberia during and after the October polls.
The Liberia Fact-checking Network comprises three partner institutions including: Campaigners against misinfo and disinfo in Liberia, Stage Media and Local Voices Liberia including other individual fact-checkers. Many listeners who called in thanked the network for such awesome initiative and asked the international community to kindly support the network.
