CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, informs the public about the Adopted Model Policy on Information Integrity in West Africa and the Sahel and the Action Plan.

Today CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, sat on the ECOWAS Radio Youth Forum Program.

Taweh Johnson updated the public on the recent initiatives of CAMDL and his participation in the Conference on Information Integrity in West Africa and the Sahel in Praia, Cabo Verde.(September 3-5, 2025)

Moreover, Taweh Johnson informed the public about the outcomes of the conference in Praia, Cabo Verde—the adopted Model Policy on Information Integrity in West Africa and the Sahel and the Praia Action Plan for Information Integrity in West Africa and the Sahel.

UNESCO and the Government of Cabo Verde, with support from CFI- The French Media and Development Agency and other partners, organized the conference.

In addition, Taweh Johnson mentioned that even before the adoption of the Model Policy on information integrity in West Africa and the Sahel, CAMDL had been organizing Media and Digital Literacy Initiatives that met two core principles of information integrity in the model policy, such as societal trust and resilience and public empowerment.

Furthermore, Taweh Johnson stated that Liberia, one of the West African countries that adopted the Model Information Integrity Policy, CAMDL will collaborate with the government and other stakeholders to craft the Liberia National Information Integrity Policy and help design Media and Digital Literacy initiatives that enhance information integrity in Liberia.
