Campaigners Against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia(CAMDL) Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, participated in a media training on information integrity organized by ECOWAS in partnership with the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) and Code for Africa with support from the German Agency for International Cooperation(GIZ).

Liberian journalists were equipped with the knowledge and skills to promote information integrity, responsible journalism, and the effective countering of misinformation and disinformation, all in alignment with the goal of achieving the ECOWAS Vision 2025.

At the end of the training, Ambassador. Nkrumah commended Campaigners Against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia for the impactful work.

Thank you, Ambassador Nkrumah, for the commendation and recognition of our work in Liberia. We will continue empowering citizens on how to verify information and safeguard the integrity of the information landscape in Liberia.

According to CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, generative artificial intelligence is incredibly accelerating the spread of disinformation. The training is timely because it enhances our skills in learning online tools to detect generative artificial intelligence content.
