CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, participated in the High-level Stakeholders Dialogue on access to public information organized by the Center for Media Studies and Peacebuilding in collaboration with the Independent Information Commission with funding from the European Unon in Liberia held in Congo Town under the Liberia Media Empowerment Project (LMEP), implemented by Internews in Liberia in collaboration with the Center for Media Studies and Peacebuilding.

The engagement assessed existing provisions within the Liberia’s Freedom of Information Law, Acts , policies, and administrative frameworks that hinder access to information and recommended reform priorities.

Access to information is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of information integrity, enabling citizens to scrutinize power, hold institutions accountable, and make informed decisions.
