Campaigners against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia(CAMDL) Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, represented CAMDL and the Alliance on Disability in Liberia at the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 at the EJS Ministerial Complex.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2025 global theme “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress.”

Campaigners against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia (CAMDL) has been empowering people with disabilities in Liberia on how to verify information using digital tools through media and digital literacy training because people with disabilities are extremely vulnerable to false information.

CAMDL calls on all public and private institutions to be inclusive. This involves removing barriers and providing necessary accommodations so that every individual can participate, contribute, and thrive.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated annually on December 3rd to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities and raise awareness of their inclusion in all aspects of society.
