CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson , has trained over 70 Africans from 24 African Countries on Media Literacy and the Battle Against Disinformation/ The role of Journalism and Media Production in Schools and Public Broadcasters.
The participants were from Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
This was at the Unlocking Media Literacy Virtual Training of Trainers series organized by DCN Global and World Learning with support from the U.S. State Department. The virtual training aims to empower African educators in formal, non-formal, and informal settings to incorporate media literacy seamlessly into their educational practices.
