Taweh Johnson, Executive Director of Campaigners against misinformation and disinformation appeared on Encounter Radio 104.9 FM to teach citizens how to verify information and also speak about the vision and initiatives of the organization.
One of the callers thanked the organization for such innovative initiative and urged the organization to reach out to other counties in Liberia.
According to Taweh Johnson, the organization has plan to have its presence in the western counties of Liberia including Bomi, Gbarpolu and Cape Mount in the next three years. Moreover, Taweh Johnson said that the organization is part of the Liberia Fact-checking Network. The Liberia Fact-checking Network was established to hold politicians, influencers and citizens accountable to what they say and write particularly during and after the upcoming Presidential and Legislative Elections. Taweh Johnson stated that he now serves as the Head of Secretariat of the Liberia Fact-checking Network.
