CAMDL Misinfo and Disinfo Awareness Campaign at two Universities

Misinformation and Disinformation are threats to peace and democracy in Liberia.

CAMDL has met with over 25 Mass Communication Students at the African Methodist Episcopal University and the United Methodist University. This is part of the Misinformation and Disinformation Awareness Campaign.

According to CAMDL Executive Director, Taweh Johnson, the organization is also reaching out to University Students to teach them how to verify information before sharing it because they have smartphones and many social media accounts. As a result of this, university students are overwhelmed with information daily.

The students were enlightened on the danger of misinformation and disinformation and the steps to verify information.
