Our Executive Director, Taweh Johnson appears on ECOWAS Radio One Voice Program to talk about our initiatives in Liberia and the need for Liberians to verify information. A Listener called to thank the organization for such amazing initiatives and urge the organization to reach out to other counties in Liberia because the spread of misinformation and disinformation can negatively affect the entire country especially as we approach elections in October. One caller was concerned about how they can verify information online that intends to deceive people. Our Executive Director told the caller to utilize Scamdoc, an online application used to verify links and email addresses. This online application clearly displays the legitimacy of a link or email address. According to Taweh Johnson, this can help to inform citizens whether to trust the information or not.
